Happy Friday Feature!
This week, we are featuring Andrew Spring, a GWF Research Associate and NWF’s Knowledge Mobilization Officer.
Andrew completed his undergraduate education at Acadia University in Environmental Science, completed his Master’s at the University of Toronto in Environmental Engineering, and conducted his PhD at Wilfrid Laurier University.
Andrew’s work focuses on building a broad network of communities, NGOs, and government agencies in support of Laurier’s northern research initiatives and developing tools to effectively mobilize knowledge to stakeholders. Moreover, his research looks closely into food security and climate change adaptation.
Working with NWF, Andrew takes a few field trips to the Northwest Territories a year. His favourite part about going out into the field is spending time with friends in the communities and learning about Indigenous traditions. He highlights his trip in June to Délįne, where he lived with a family and spent with locals.
